State how matter moves through the biosphere. State how energy moves through the biosphere. Explain each statement using examples to illustrate your explanation

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The flow of energy moves through living organisms via the food chain. A food chain is a diagram which shows how every living thing gets energy to live. Plants use the sun, nutrients in the soil and water to generate energy. Herbivores eat the plants to generate energy to survive. Carnivores eat the herbivores to generate energy.
Matter moves through the biosphere by being cycled through various organic and inorganic stages. They are neither created nor destroyed. The biosphere is known as a closed system so no elements can escape. They are continually being recycled.

Question 2How might a deletion mutation in a gene affect the translation of that gene?

The mutation would not allow DNA to exit the cytoplasm.

The mutation would prevent amino acids from being brought to the ribosome during translation.

The amino acids would not be the right shape. They would not be able to assemble to form proteins.

The mutation would cause a different sequence of amino acids to be brought to the ribosome during translation.

Question 3

The “cause” for something to happen is the:A. Effect
B. Feedback
C. Response
D. Stimulus

Answers

The stimulus is what triggers an event, or its "cause".  Therefore, option (D) is correct.

A stimulus is an internal or external force that causes an organism or system to respond or react. A physical event, an environmental change, or a particular input may start a series of events that result in an outcome or reaction.

In order to trigger a biological, physiological, or behavioural response in living things or a reaction in non-living systems, the stimulus serves as a catalyst. It acts as the catalyst for a chain of events that, depending on the situation, have the potential to produce an impact, feedback, or reaction.

PLEASE CHECK MY ANSWER!!!!!!What is the result at the end of meiosis II?

A.
two haploid cells

B.
four haploid cells

C.
two diploid cells

D.
four diploid cells

I think it's B.

Answers

The answer is B. four haploid cells. In the meiosis, the number of chromosomes is reduced by half. It consists of meiosis I and II. In meiosis I, 2 haploid cells are formed from a diploid mother cell. These 2 haploid cells undergo meiosis II which is similar to mitosis. As the result of meiosis II, 2 haploid cells form from each haploid mother cell. Therefore, as the result of meiosis, 4 haploid cells are formed.

Pretty easy one, it is simply an element, because elements are the main 'starting points' of any other mixture, per say. This is because they are like building blocks - For example, H20, or water, is a combination of Oxygen and 2 hydrogen, which are all elements.
