Differentiate bet prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: There are differences between Eukaryotic and Prokaryotic cells. This difference is considered to be the most important distinction between groups of organisms. A Prokaryotic cell does not contain a nucleus. It only contains one chromosome and is a single-celled organism. It was the only form of life on earth for millions of years. Examples of a Prokaryotic cell are the different types of bacteria present today.
A Eukaryotic cell contains a nucleus; more than one chromosome and is typically a multi-celled organism.  Both plant and animal cells are eukaryotic cells.

Everglades National Park has a very large population of white-tailed deer. Which of these changes within this habitat is MOST LIKELY to harm only weaker, older deer, but not younger and healthier deer?A) a drought which decreases the food supply
B) a slight increase in the Florida panther population
C) a fire that burns thousands of acres of the Everglades
D) a large increase in the number of cars driving through the Everglades

Answers

Answer: B) a slight increase in the Florida panther population

A slight increase in the Florida panther population is most likely to harm only weaker, older deer but not younger and healthier deer because panther population being predator is the limiting factor for large population of white-tailed deer. A limiting factor is a resource or environmental condition which limits the growth and distribution of a population in any habitat. Here, the weaker and older deer will be the center of attraction of panther population (predator) as this deer cannot rescue itself from panther population as compared to younger and healthier deer. Weaker and older deer have no survival advantage over increased panther population.

I think the answer is B because  a drought would affect everyone so would a fire because there wouldnt be a home for the younger healthier deer.
Hope this helped in some way :)

Which kind of aquatic ecosystem does the photograph most likely show?A. Marsh

B. Swamp

C. Lake

D. River

Answers

The correct answer is D. River

Explanation:

Rivers are one of the most common ecosystems. A river is characterized by flowing water in which biotic factors (animals, plants, bacteria, etc.) and abiotic factors (rocks, water, minerals) interact. Also, they cross major ecosystems such as forests or rainforests.

Moreover, rivers are unique because they contain fresh rather than salt water as in the ocean, and they are always flowing while in a marsh, swamp or lake the water does not flow. This suggests the ecosystem is the photograph is a river because in this the water flows and as a result of this, there is a strong current which is possible in a river but not in a lake, marsh or swamp.

Answer:

river

it is smaller than the width of a lake

Answer:

Nervous Tissue

Epithelial Tissue

Connective Tissue

Muscle Tissue

Explanation:

sends signals  between the  brain and body - nervous tissue

protects the skin  from bacteria and  other particles - epithelial tissue

allows shivering  to produce heat  to maintain body  temperature - muscle tissues

provides structural  support for the  organs - connective tissue

Nervous tissues are distinct type of tissues within the nervous system responsible for the communication and control between the brain and the rest of the body. They communicate by sending signals between the brain and the body parts.

Epithelial tissues are specialized tissues that line and protect the surfaces of organs both within and outside the body. A special epithelial tissue covers the skin and protect it from bacteria and other particles.

Connective tissues are those found in between other tissues of the body and serve supportive and protective functions.

Muscle tissues are soft tissues that serves to allow movement of body parts as a result of contraction.

PLEASE HELP!!!!! Explain how infection might spread, how people fight off diseases, and why malnutrition can lead to the spread of disease in the time immediately following a natural disaster.

Answers

Answer:

When people are unable to access their homes due to a natural disaster, a(n)

✔ shelter-in-place plan

advises them where to stay.

To lessen the likelihood of a wildfire spreading, a(n)

✔ containment plan

might be enacted.

A(n)

✔ evacuation plan

explains what people should do immediately following a disaster.

Explanation:

Infections spreading:
Infections are caused by bacteria, virus and other microscopic organisms. They spread through droplet (sneezing etc), they can spread through blood contact (used needles that are re-used), direct physical contact (skin infections), stool (germs from excretion) and contaminated objects.

How people fight off disease:
We have antibodies in us that fight off invading cells that contain foreign bodies. Our immune system secretes these antibodies and these antibodies will fight off the infection. The time it takes for the infection to be eradicated depends on the strength of your immune system and whether you have been vaccinated.

Natural disaster:
Natural disaster such a tsunami's and earthquakes can contaminate water supplies. In tsunami's the water from the sea will go into the drinking water which isn't safe because it could cause diseases such as cholera to spread. Earthquakes disrupt sewage structures. If these are broken, water regulation would not be as good so we end up drinking dirty water, which could also be contaminated with cholera!

Wow that was long, hope it helped! :)
