what happens when rain falls on a piece of property that has pavement, roofs, and lawns. Where does the water go? Over a long rainy season, how do streams and groundwater respond? Please explain , I need help.Thank you ever so much in advance for your time and help!

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The water is absorbed on pavement. Water rums off the roof on to the ground/ lawn and it works it's way don't to the soil. I'm the lawn some water is absorbed of there's to much it will drown the grass and kill it. Steams fill up and flow south towards the Mississippi River or Ohio river depends where you live. Ground water will run faster but not by a whole lot.
Answer 2
Answer: the water would stream down the roof, and since the lawn is porous, water is absorbed into the lawn and pavement, to the ground. Streams overflow and groundwater would rise up for a short period of time and become a spring or it would be at its maximum height

Answers

The statement that shifts in the rock layer locations cannot account for gaps in the rock record is false. In contrast, shifts in the rock layer locations should account for gaps in the rock record.

Any gap in age of rock between rock layers is called an uncomformity. It is the contact between two layers representing a gap in the geologic record, usually from the erosion of the layers which would normally be expected to appear.

that statement is false

Geology is a field much smaller than geography, and it is a sub-field of geography. Geology is only concerned with the solid material on Earth: the rocks.

Geography is concerned with rocks, but it's also concerned with liquids, gasses and living creatures and their interactions with each other.

Do you think acid rain also affect crops.

Answers

Acid rain cause slower growth, injury, and kills forests, however they don't actually kill trees or crops that instantly rather it slows down their growth in producing leaves and crops and speaking of crops it doesn't affect that badly because farmers put chemicals in crops so that is why there is little affect
Yes acid rain effects crops this is because it mixes with the soil and the crops become a poison for us
