Answer 1
Answer: The relationship between the diameter of the tree trunk snd the height of the tree is as the diameter increases the tree will get taller therefor the height will increase too. As you can see on the scatter graph the points are going in a upwards slant meaning its increasing.
Answer 2
Answer: So your graph shows that the diameter of the tree trunk is increasing, because the numbers on the x axis are going up. It also shows that the tree is getting taller because the numbers are increasing on the y axis as well. So the relationship would be that the taller the tree gets, the larger the diameter of the trunk is. Does that make sense? If you need any more help, feel free to message me :)

Answer:

  • (x -1)(x +6)
  • (x -5)(x +3)
  • (x -4)(x -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

In each case, you're looking for divisors of the constant that have a sum equal to the x-coefficient. Those divisors are the constants in the binomial factors.

1) -6 = -1·6 = -2·3 . . . . . (-1)+(6) = 5, so these are the constants of interest.

  x^2 +5x -6 = (x -1)(x +6)

__

2) -15 = -1·15 = -3·5 = -5·3 . . . . . (-5)+(3) = -2, so these are the constants of interest

  x^2 -2x -15 = (x -5)(x +3)

__

3) 12 = -1·-12 = -2·-6 = -3·-4 . . . . . (-3) +(-4) = -7, so these are the constants of interest

  x^2 -7x +12 = (x -3)(x -4)

Hello everyone! I really need these two by Friday. & can you explain how you got the answer to the top one? Thank you all in advance!!!!!!!!! (it's just two)

Answers

the answer to the first:

x>9 ⇒ x∈(9,+∞)
the graph shows that the x is bigger that 9 but IT CAN'T BE 9, we can tell that because the inner of the dot is white (if the inner of the dot was black too it would meant that the x would be bigger that 9 but it could be 9 as well).
I also inserted a picture which shows what I'm talking you about (just ignore the greek on the top).

the answer to the second:

4(3x)+7-5x-5+3y-y=
= 12x+7-5x-5+3y-y
=7x-2y+2

convert to proper fraction

27/4*7/2 divided 18/5 divided 15/4

27/4*7/2*5/18*4/15= 63/36= 7/3

27/4 × 7/2 ÷ 18/5 ÷ 15/4
= 27/4 × 7/2 × 5/18 × 4/15
= 3780/ 2160
= 21/12

= 7/3
