How would a futuristic setting likely influence a story? Only direct characterization would be possible. The characters might fly in spaceships or have advanced technology. No theme would be possible because the future has not yet occurred. Only indirect characterization would be possible.

Answers

The main way in which a futuristic setting would likely influence a story would be that "The characters might fly in spaceships or have advanced technology" since the future is unknowable.

The characters might fly in spaceships or have advanced technology. This is the correct option.

These elements will be almost necessary to create a futuristic context or setting. If the characters took ordinary buses or trains and if they used fixed telephones or used the mail post, the story would reflect a real and old context. A futuristic setting should include elements ,technologically, much more sophisticated than the ones that really exist.

These options are not right:

-Only direct characterization would be possible ( The writer of a futuristic story can use this device. He / She can describe a character's emotions ,thoughts and actions).

-No theme would be possible because the future has not yet occurred. ( On the contrary, any theme can be developed in a writer's mind. It is the writer's creativity that makes fiction. This can be true- to -life or not).

-Only indirect characterization would be possible. (The writer of a futuristic story can use this device. The character's emotions ,thoughts and actions can be infered through their dialogues or attitudes).

My great-great-------------- grandpa was Adolf Hitler's brother and my last name is Hitler. If Adolf Hitler did not exist, do you think there were no concentration camps for Jews? (It's one of my school project questions)

Answers

If Adolf Hitler did not exist, and you presume that there were no concentration camps for Jews, then how do you explain the death of SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE? Sorry, but it's my belief that Adolf Hitler was real and so were Jewish concentration camps.  I don't agree with and definitely do not support what Hitler did, but I do believe that it did happen.

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

It's inevitable, because Israel wanted their people back to help fight for land,so they told Germany they would stop funding them if they did not bring the Jews to Israel, and at the time, Germany was an extremely poor country, so they wouldn't of been able to handle less funding from Israel. So somebody had to get rid of the Jews, and concentration camps were the easiest way to move them out of the country at the time. So yes, there would of been concentration camps, Hitler or no Hitler.

Earths gravitational pull just got three times stronger! What happens to your weight?

Answers

Your weight will be three times heavier.

Weight is the force exerted on a body by gravity. Weight is computed by multiplying the mass of an object by the force of gravity. If you were to triple the force of gravity, then the weight will be tripled as well. If you were to half it, then weight will be halved as well.

Weight is simply the measure of gravity acting on an object. So, if the gravitational pull becomes three times stronger, your weight will increase (it will triple, in fact) because the measure of gravity acting on your body increases by three times.

In "The Story of Baba Abdalla," how does meeting Baba Abdalla and being asked to box him on the ear affect the caliph? A.
It disgusts and disappoints the caliph.

B.
It annoys and angers the caliph.

C.
It greatly amuses and delights the caliph.

D.
It puzzles and interests the caliph.

Answers

Answer:

D. It puzzles and interests the caliph.

Explanation:

"The Story of Baba Abdalla" is one of the 1001 Nights' stories. Its central theme is how dangerous it is to be greedy. The character and narrator Abdalla, who was already a rich man, reveals himself insatiable when a dervish reveals the location of a treasure to him. At first, Abdalla agrees to share the treasure with the dervish. Later on, he decides to convince the man to give him everything, including a box containing a special ointment. When applied to the left eye, the ointment reveals the location of treasures all over the world. However, when applied to the right eye, it makes the person blind instantly. Abdalla's greed has taken control of his heart, so he has the ointment applied to both his eyes and ends up blind forever.

After narrating this story to the caliph, he adds that, to punish himself for his sins, Abdalla asks people to slap him. The caliph is not disgusted, angered, nor even amused by this. He is simply puzzled and interested. In his opinion, Abdalla has already suffered a great deal and does not need to be punished any longer. Note the excerpt below:

When the blind man had ended the Caliph addressed him: “Baba-Abdalla, truly your sin is great, but you have suffered enough. Henceforth repent in private, for I will see that enough money is given you day by day for all your wants.”

At these words Baba-Abdalla flung himself at the Caliph’s feet, and prayed that honor and happiness might be his portion for ever.

D.It puzzles and interests the caliph.
