Answer 1
Answer: The first one is A,B,and D because for A a function on a graph rises from left to right.B because the input or x is not repeating so just remember that too many x's ain't right but more than one y or output is okay.D because each x is not repeating which is a no no in functions.The second question is the first one is a function and the rest no because the first one none of the x or repeating the other ones their x in their data set is repeating.
Answer 2
Answer: a function is where you input something and get out another thing
generally you are talking about one-to-one functions where for every input you get exactly one output
x is input and y is input
basicaly, x never repeats

2 ways to find a function
1. if on a graph, then it must pass the vertical line test whre if you draw a vertical line ANYWHERE on the graph, then it must pass through the graph of the equation no more than one times
2. if on a set then make sure that x doesn't repeat with a different y so if you had (2,3) and (2,4) then that is not a function

A is a function since passes vertical line test
B is a function since x doesn't repeat
C is NOT a function since x=3 has a y value of 5 and -2
D is NOT a function since you have the points (2,2) and (2,6)

so select A and B

basically just lok at the first number of each ordered pair (x,y) and make sure the first number never repeats with a different second number (x,y) and (x,z) is not function if z is not equal to y

so
1 is a function since the numbers never repat
2 is NOT a function since we have the points (2,3) and (2,5)
3 is NOT a function since we have th points (4,2) nd (4,8) and the points (6,3) and (6,6)
4 is NOT a function since we have the points (6,8) and (6,4)
so only first is function

ANSWERS
so the functions are
A and B for first quetsion

Number of fans cheering for the Hawks: 35,325

Answers

To find total fans we can use proportion
45% --------------------- 35,325
100% ------------------- x
crossmultiply now
45x=100*35325
45x=3532500                /:45
x=3532500:45
x=78,500 - its the answer

Explain how you would find the base area of a rectangle prism if you know the volume and the height

Answers

If the volume and the height are known, then we can find the base area of a rectangle prism by these steps:

Find the area of two sides (Length*Height)*2 sides

Find the area of adjacent sides (Width*Height)*2 sides

Find the area of ends (Length*Width)*2 ends

Add the three areas together to find the surface area

We know that,

Surface Area of Rectangular Prisms :

A rectangular prism has 2 ends and 4 sides. Opposite sides have the same area. The surface area is the sum of the areas of all six sides.

Here, we have,

to find the surface area of Rectangular Prisms:

Find the area of two sides (Length*Height)*2 sides

Find the area of adjacent sides (Width*Height)*2 sides

Find the area of ends (Length*Width)*2 ends

Add the three areas together to find the surface area

Example:

The surface area of a rectangular prism 5 cm long, 3 cm. wide and 2 cm. high = 5*2*2 + 3*2*2 + 5*3*2 = 20 + 12 + 30 = 62 cm^2.
