Easy Question.

Can evidence be an opinion?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Not... Exactly. However, evidence can be used to support an opinion.

Evidence is basically add-ons to your own thoughts. Opinions are statements that change base on the person... Evidence is always there, and if its scientifically proven to be true, that fact will be there, no matter who it is.

Answer 2
Answer:

Opinions cannot be evidence, but evidence can support opinions.

Let's say someone (P1) thinks it's better to ride a skateboard to school, and someone else (P2) thinks it's better to ride a bike to school. P1 says that riding a skateboard faster because you can do tricks, but P2 says it's faster and easier to ride a bike because it's one of the first things most people learn how to ride, and it also puts less stress on your legs to move around on the sidewalk or street.

P2 has evidence to support their opinions, but P1 has opinions with no evidence to support it.

What do the changes to the neighborhood suggest about residents felings once upon a time

Answers

Answer: The changes suggest that the residents have gradually become more frightened and want to defend themselves.

Explanation:

In Nadine Gordimer's short story, Once Upon A Time, the protagonist is frightened by the sound in the night and assumes that it is a thief.

As there has been an increase in crime in the suburb - houses are burgled and a person even dies, the neighbors take precautions to protect themselves. The first changes to the neighborhood are the alarm systems, but as they go off unnecessarily, they soon become useless. However, as more and more suspicious people are seen in the neighborhood, more severe measures are taken. For instance, the roses and perfect lawns are replaced by the fences and walls. These changes suggest that the residents become more and more frightened and address this problem more seriously.
