Perhaps you wanted pizza for dinner, but were out voted by the rest of the family who wanted chili. This is similar to what happens in a community. One person has to give up a right for the good of the group. Sometimes citizens' duties and rights conflict with each other. A good example is a public protest. People have the right to meet in groups and share ideas. However, a protest can disrupt traffic or other normal activities. A city must provide extra police protection to keep people safe. Therefore, the city has the right to require permission in advance for a protest. Government must make laws to balance the rights of individuals and different groups of people. What kind of plays did Shakespeare write?A. Shakespeare only wrote tragedies.
B. Shakespeare only wrote comedies.
C. Shakespeare wrote tragedies, comedies, and histories.

Answers

C. Shakespeare wrote tragedies, comedies, and histories.

Final answer:

William Shakespeare, a notable English playwright, wrote plays in three primary genres: tragedies, comedies, and histories, grounding his works in the human experience and tackling themes still relevant today.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare, one of the most celebrated playwrights in the English language, did not restrict himself to one type of play. Contrary to options A and B, option C is correct. Shakespeare wrote in three major genres: tragedies, comedies, and histories.

Tragedies like 'Hamlet,' 'Othello,' and 'Macbeth' are characterized by the downfall of the main character. Comedies like 'Twelfth Night,' 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' and 'As You Like It,' often involve mistaken identities, love plots, and happy endings. His histories like 'Henry V,' 'Richard III,' and 'Julius Caesar' dramatize the lives of historical figures, mainly those of English royalty.

I think all are right- except number 3. In the story "The Most Dangerous Game", (which is based off a true story, actually) the beginning does go over Whitney and rainsford's plans to go hunting, however the question asks for what created Suspense, and I shivered when they began talking about cannibals and such. I believe the answer to that would be c, since suspense and mystery (the word was in the answer c) are closely related.
