Molly uses 192 beads to make a bracelet and a necklace. It takes 5 times as many beads to make a necklace than it does to make a bracelet. How many beads are used to make the necklace?Pleace make it clear what the variables mean or I won't understand.

Answers

so, let's just call x the number of beads that are needed to make a bracelet.

now, how many beads does it take to make a necklace?

"It takes 5 times as many beads to make a necklace than it does to make a bracelet. '

What does it mean? five times: 5x

so it takes 5x to make a necklace

she also used 192 to make a necklace and a bracelet.

that means: x (bracelet) +5x(necklace)=192
x+5x=192
6x=192

now we divide by 6:

x=32

so it takes 32 beads to make a bracelet and 5 times as many, 5*32=160 to make a necklace

Whats a good way to start a Argumentative essay?

Answers

The way I have always been taught is to start the very beginning of the essay with a good hook. This could be an interesting fact, a brief story, or background information about your topic. Really it's just anything relating to your argument that will get your reader's attention.

Then clearly state your claim and explain why you will be taking that side with your reasons.

You really don't need to go into too much detail when starting an essay. I find when I try to make my introductions longer they are generally wordy and are full of unnecessary information, so sometimes shorter is better with this sort of thing.

Hope this helps :)
