Which sentence contains a misplaced or dangling modifier? A. Excited by the snow, the boy could not wait to get out of school. B. Reading to learn new things can be fun. C. To understand a foreign language, a class must be taken. D. Often people like sitting quietly and reading.

It's D because 'quietly' has 2 target words, such as 'sitting' and 'reading'. Wrongly positioned right after 'sitting ' confuses the reader. This misplacing can be corrected by moving it at the end of the sentence.
