Answers

Answer 1
Answer: there is 3 terms : (w/4) and (12.5) and (7z)
Answer 2
Answer:

Final answer:

The expression w/4 + 12.5 - 7z comprises three terms - w/4, 12.5, and -7z, which are separate values in the expression.

Explanation:

The expression you provided, w/4+12.5-7z, has three terms. In algebra, terms are the separate values in a word that are added or subtracted. Here, w/4, 12.5, and -7z are all different terms. Each term may be a number, a variable, or a combination of numbers and variables multiplied together, like -7z.

Answer:

x = 2.25

Step-by-step explanation:

 -9(x - 5) = x + 22 1/2

Distribute the nine and then add 9x to both sides

 -9x + 45 = x +22 1/2

+ 9x        + 9x

Then try to get x alone

       45 = 10x + 22 1/2

     -22 1/2       -22 1/2

    22.5 = 10x

   (22.5)/(10) = (10x)/(10)

   2.25 = x

Hi could you be so kind and solve this
3x+4=2x-7x-9
Thank you!

Alright for this you need these rules:
Group everything together
When isolating the variable do the opposite operation and do it on both sides.
You'll see what I mean
So for this it's 3x+4 = 2x-7x-9. So on the side with the -9 group the two variables together. Now you have -5x.
3x+4=-5x-9.
Now just subtract four from the side with 3x, as we are isolating the variable, and subtract it also from the other side, follow the rule. Now you have 3x=-5x-13. Next do what I did with the 4 and ADD 5x to each side, now you have 8x = 13. Divide each side to isolate even further and get x = 13/8.
Your final answer is:
x = 1 5/8
3x+4=2x-7x-9\n \n 3x-2x+7x=-9-4\n \n 8x=-13\n \n \boxed{x=-(13)/(8)}
