Why does an insulator has a high resistance

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Sometimes it's easier to think of electrical conductance. Conductance is the opposite of resistance. It's measured in mhos. Conductors conduct electricity well. They have high conductance. Insulators don't conduct very well. They have low conductance. Because resistance is the inverse of conductance, high conductance means low resistance and vice versa. Conductors conduct electricity well. They have high conductance and low resistance. Insulators don't conduct very well. They have low conductance and high resistance. In a science museum, a 130 kg brass pendulum bob swings at the end of a 14.4 m -long wire. The pendulum is started at exactly 8:00 a.m. every morning by pulling it 1.7 m to the side and releasing it. Because of its compact shape and smooth surface, the pendulum's damping constant is only 0.010kg/s. You may want to review (Pages 405 - 407) . A 2.2 kg ball is attached to a ceiling by a string. The distance from the ceiling to the center of the ball is 1.06 m, and the height of the room is 3.00 m. What is the gravitational potential energy associated with the ball relative to the ceiling?

Answers

Answer:

U=-22.85J

Explanation:

The potential energy associated with a body (m) located at a given height (h) above a reference point is defined as:

U=mgh

At the reference point the potential energy is zero. In this case the body is below the reference point (the ceiling), therefore, the value of h is negative:

U=2.2kg*9.8(m)/(s^2)*(-1.06m)\nU=-22.85J

Nearly all physics problems will use the unit m/s^2 for acceleration. Explain why the seconds are squared. Why isn't the unit given as m/s, as it is for speed

Answers

Because acceleration is not speed, and speed is not acceleration.
I'm sure you would not ask "Why isn't temperature given in acres,
as it is for area ?"  Speed and acceleration are different things, so
it's only natural that they have different units.

The magnitude (size) part of acceleration is:

         (how much speed changes) per second.

Are you speeding up ?
Are you traveling (2 meters per second) faster every second ?
Then your acceleration is

           (2 meters per second) per second .

When you write that phrase as an algebraic expression, it's

           (2 m/sec) / sec

and when you simplify that fraction, you get        2 m/sec² .

A wire that is 0.36 meters long moves perpendicularly through a magnetic field at a speed of 0.21 meters/second. The induced emf produced in the wire is 0.45 volts. What is the magnetic field strength?

Answers

Answer:

Magnetic field strength, B = 5.95 Tesla

Explanation:

It is given that,

Length of wire, l = 0.36 m

It is moving perpendicularly through a magnetic field at a speed of, v = 0.21 m/s

Induced emf, E = 0.45 volts

The mathematical expression for induced emf is given by :

E=(d\phi)/(dt)=Blv

(d\phi)/(dt) is the rate of change of magnetic flux,

B is magnetic field

So, B=(E)/(lv)

B=(0.45)/(0.36* 0.21)

B = 5.95 Tesla

Hence, this is the required solution.

0.034 newtons/amp·meter

The answer is the option B. a a group of stars. So the complete sentence is "A constellation is a group of stars that forms a pattern resembling animals, mythological characters, or objects. Most names of constellations originated in ancient times and took their names from the patterns that observer could watch in the sky. Some examples of constellations are Orion, Aquarium, Cancer, etc.
