Answers

Answer 1
Answer: NO, False! This war was started because of the worry and fear over the spread of communism! It was the end of WW2 and Communism in Europe was a real threat, the U.S. fearing the Soviet Union had every intention on spreading communism. U.S. strategy was containment at home and abroad. The Korean Peninsula was divided the south backed by the U.S and the north by the Soviets. Soviets invaded north Korea which was under Japanese rule. The Japanese didn't want to loose their territory so they surrendered to both invaders. The U.S. and the Soviets decided to split the country along the 38th parallel. War at the line broke out and Truman (U.S. President at the time) was very worried about Communist China and the Soviets stepping in to defend northern Korea! Truman went to the United Nations and they adopted a resolution (without Soviet Russia who had declined a seat with the United Nations Security Council because the delegates had refused to add communist china to the UN. Yes, America backed Syngman Rhee, but this war was fought with the Americans and Allies deciding Communism wasn't going to be ours or most of the worlds fate!

The Executive branch or the presidential branch is led by the President of the United States. The Legislative branch is the Congress of the US, composed by the House of Representatives and the Senate. And the Judicial branch, that is the US Supreme Court.
