If a substance goes from the gas phase to the liquid phase, was it heated or cooled

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: when a substance goes from 1 state of matter to a another state of matter, the process is a change of state. What i found out is that it can be heated, whenever the substance goes to another phase i mostly heard, and reasearched that it goes to heated.

What is the law of conservation of mass? How it is related to balancing chemical equations

Answers

The law of conservation of mass states that whatever goes in comes out the same. That's not the exact concept, but it'll help you remember it.

Here's another way of thinking about it.

Okay, so, we have:

Reactants  ⇒ Products

The reactants form into products, but stay the same.

What does this mean?

This means that the mass is conserved. When mass is conserved, the energy is also conserved.

In other words, nothing has changed.

Now, lets relate that to balancing equations.

When you try to balance an equation, what is your goal? ⇒ To get the reactants to equal the products..? Right?

Ah, yes!

Now we have the exact meaning→→→→

The law of conservation of mass states that mass is always conserved in a chemical reaction.

Hope I helped! Please feel free to comment with questions! :)
Law that states that mass is neither created or destroyed in ordinary chemical and physical changes.

In a laboratory, a student makes a solution by completely dissolving 80.0 grams of KNO3(s) in 100.0 grams of hot water. The resulting solution has a temperature of 60.°C. The room temperature in the laboratory is 22°C.Classify, in terms of saturation, the type of solution made by the student.

Answers

Answer:

Unsaturated solution.

Explanation:

At 60°C, 100.0g of water can dissolve 110g of KNO₃.

By definition, if you add 110g of KNO₃, the solution will be saturated, if you add more than 110g, the solution becomes supersaturated (That means crystals of solute will form), if you add less than 110g, the solution is unsaturated.

In the problem, you are adding 80g of KNO₃(s), that means you made a unsaturated solution.

Answer: Unsaturated

Explanation: There are three types of saturation levels that can be chosen, unsaturated, saturated, and supersaturated. If you look on Table G on the Reference Table, find the temperature in which the solution is at and go up until you reach the amount of dissolved substance (grams). If the dot is over the line then it is supersaturated, if its on the line then its saturated, and if it's below the line then is unsaturated.

Which compound is insoluble in water?(1) calcium bromide (3) silver bromide
(2) potassium bromide (4) sodium bromide

Answers

I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option 3. It is the compound Silver bromide that is insoluble to water. It has a very low solubility which is approximately 0.14 milligram per liter of water. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.

A catalyst lowers the activation energy of a reaction which makes the reaction happen at a faster rate. The catalyst lowers the activation energy by changing the reaction mechanism. I hope this helps. Let me know if anything is unclear.

The molar mass of CO2 is 44.01 g/mol. Which is the mass of 3.21×1025 molecules of CO2

Answers

Given:

Molar mass of CO2 = 44.01g/mol

3.21x10^25 molecules of CO2

Required:

Mass of CO2

Solution:

Avogadro’s number states that for every mole of atom, there are 6.023x10^23 units of atom. The units may be formula units, atoms. In here, you need to divide 3.21x10^25 molecules of CO2 to 6.023x10^23 molecules per mole.

3.21x10^25 molecules of CO2 / 6.023x10^23 molecules per mole = 53.30 moles CO2

53.30 moles CO2 (44.01g/mol CO2) = 2346 g of CO2
