Terenty decides to help the children, as they reminded him of himself when he was at a young age. He probably thought that aid would have come handy during that time an this is why he engages in generous efforts to help homeless children.

Terenty helped the orphans because of the fact they were orphans, they didn't have any other family or a place to go. He was a fatherly figure to them, who took them in, took care of them, loved them as his own children, educated them, and raised them.

Terenty is the character from “A Day in the Country” written by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov which describe the relationship  between two orphans, Fyokla and Danilka and Terenty, who is the homeless cobbler of village. The orphans lovingly called him Uncle Terenty and he perform the responsibility of father figure, guide, guardian, helper, assistant and trustworthy companion in their gloomy life. Although, they are related, the two orphans treat Terenty as their father and he treats them as his own children.

Terenty helped the two orphans as they are shelter less and have nowhere to go. It was him who held, cared, fed, and attended them. They wanted someone in their life to depend on in moments of difficulties and Terenty completed this goal in their life. Terenty loved, fed and cared for them and raised them just like his own children. He taught them by filling their interest in the wonders of nature. He made the two orphans live for a reason. Verbsare simply known as the ‘action’ words – may it be mental, physical ormechanical. When verbs are paired with auxiliaries (helping verbs), they areknown as verb phrase. These helping verbs always go first before the actualverb.  We consider it a phrase instead of‘sneezing’ because of the comma, it emphasized the phrase.
