Based on the Inferno, what does Dante most likely consider monstrous?A. Being a business owner
B. Being an ancient philosopher
C. Being a repentant sinner
D. Being a hypocritical person

Answers

C. Being a Hypocritical Person. In the Inferno, Dante descends through the concentric circles of hell starting with the least punishment and culminating in the center where Satan resides. Of the options provided, being a hypocrite is deepest in the concentric circles. Hypocrites were condemned to the 8th circle of hell. This is only 1 circle removed from the worst of hell. It therefore follows that Dante most likely considered a hypocrite as more monstrous than all the other options provided.
