Why would the use of alternative sources of energy be beneficial to the Earth and its people?

Answers

There are several reasons why the use of alternative sources of energy would be beneficial to the Earth and its people, but the main reason is that fossil fuels will run out soon.
Alternative energy sources would allow for sustainability and less pollution on Earth. If we can use solar, wind, hydroelectric, biofuel, etc., then we can actually have a sustainable form of energy. None of these forms of energy require harm to the environment to tap into, unlike oil which requires drilling, and its not in infinite supply. Traditional power plants use either nuclear or wood-pellet energy. With nuclear, the waste left behind is extremely toxic and requires underground storage, and with wood-pellet, an immense amount of carbon is released into the atmosphere. So basically, alternative energy sources would benefit humans greatly by making our energy sustainable and preserving our climate and environment.

Some animals (Arachnids, Crustaceans, Insects) don't have internal skeleton. They possess exoskeleton (chitinous skeleton).

It covers their body like a suit of armour, providing protection.

Why are some substances acid and some are bases

Answers

Chemical substances can be acids or bases on the basis of presence of positively charged hydronium ion and negatively charges hydroxyl ions in the compound.

What are chemical substances?

A chemical substance is a form of matter which have a constant chemical composition and characteristic properties which are unique. However, chemical substances cannot be separated into its constituent elements by the application of physical separation methods, i.e., without breaking the chemical bonds.

Chemical substances are of two types depending upon the presence of positively charged hydronium ions and the negatively charged hydroxyl ions. If there are more negatively charged hydroxyl ions than the positively charged hydronium ions, then the substance becomes a base however if there are more positively charged hydronium ions than the negatively charged hydroxyl ions then the substance is called an acid.

Answers

cell membrane: d
nucleus: e
ribosome: b
mitochondria: a
chloroplast: c

Final answer:

The cell membrane is like the gates of a school, the nucleus is like the main office, the ribosome is like the factory machines, the mitochondria are like a factory's battery, and chloroplasts are like solar power plants.

Explanation:

In the biology field, the analogy of a cell to a factory is common. In this context, the cell membrane can be likened to the gates of a school (d) as it controls what enters and leaves the cell. The nucleus functions much like the main office (e) in a factory, overseeing all operations. The ribosome, where proteins are made, can be analogized to factory machines (b). The mitochondria, being the powerhouse of the cell, is akin to a factory's battery (a). Lastly, chloroplasts in plants function similarly to solar power plants (c) as they convert sunlight into usable energy.

Why does our body need a defense system ?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

You have external defense systems, which include your skin, tears, mucus, saliva, stomach acid, cilia (small hairs) and helpful bacteria. ... The skin stops pathogens from entering the blood, at least when you're not bleeding. The tears, mucus, and cilia trap them and help push them back out of your body.
