The right ventricle transports oxygenated blood to the lungs true or false

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

I believe the correct answer is FALSE.

Explanation:

The heart is an organ located at the center of the chest in the thoracic cavity and functions to supply blood to and from tissues giving the tissues oxygen and nutrients while taking away carbon dioxide and waste products. It is divided into 4 chambers and 2 chambers are separated by a muscular wall that prevents mixing of the blood.

Further Explanation:

Blood enters the heart via the vena cava which is divided into the superior vena cava that recieves blood from the upper region of the body that includes the head, neck and chest while the inferior vena cava recieves blood from the lower extremeties that includes the legs, the abdomen, the pelvic region and the thighs. The blood is deposited into the right atrium and is de-oxygenated. When it is deposited into the right atrium, the change in volume of the atrium and the expansion causes the valve to open and allow the de-oxygenated blood to flow into the right ventricle. The right ventricle then pumps the blood that is de-oxygenated to the lungs via the pulmonary artery which is the only artery that pumps de-oxygenated blood. In the lungs, carbon dioxide is removed and oxygen added to the blood and is taken to the left atrium which pumps the oxygenated blood to the left ventricle and then the left ventricle pumps the oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. The blood is then again taken through the body via the capillaries and the veins pick up the blood that has been removed of oxygen and added with carbon dioxide and transport the blood back to the heart via the vena cava. It enters the right atrium via both the inferior and superior vena cava and the de-oxygenated blood is circulated again to the lungs for oxygenation from the left ventricle.

Answer 2
Answer:

The statement “the right ventricle transports oxygenated blood to lungs” is false.

Further Explanation:

Heart of humans have four chamber namely right and left atrium also, right and left ventricle. The main purpose of heart is to pump blood throughout the body. Due to this constant beating of heart a pressure is maintained in the body which helps in the flow of the blood.

The heart receives the deoxygenated blood from the body parts. This blood reaches the right atrium by means of superior and inferior vena cava. The blood from right atrium is pushed to the right ventricle. So, the right ventricle always has deoxygenated blood. This blood is then pushed to the lungs by the means of pulmonary artery into the lungs.

This blood then gets oxygenated by the means of fusion through capillaries and returns back to the heart specifically, to the left side. This blood is then pumped to the organ systems where it provides the tissues with oxygen.

Important note-

a. The right side of the heart always has deoxygenated blood.

b. The left side of the heart has oxygenated blood.

Therefore, the statement that the right ventricle of the heart has oxygenated blood is not true.

Why is it that two species cannot occupy the same niche for an extended period of time?

Answers

A niche is a specie's function in its habitat or its level on the food chain, so two species competing at the same level for the same food and habitat eventually one species will have to migrate or starve due to lack of food.

Answer:

In terms of ecology a niche can be defined as role or function an organisms play within the ecosystem. A niche represent the interaction of an organism with the living and non living components of the ecosystem. It is represented by predator-prey relationships, parasitic and mutualistic properties and other functions. The two species cannot occupy the same niche for an extended period of time, this can be explained by competitive exclusion principle. According to this principle, no two species can have the same ecological niche. The two or more species competing for the same resource in an ecosystem the one species having more favorable adaptations will be able to thrive resources better than others. Therefore, this  will result in the decrease in abundance, migration and extinction of weak and less competitive species.

Which cell structure is correctly paired with its primary function? 1. ribosome–protein synthesis 2. mitochondrion–movement 3. vacuole–cell division 4. nucleus–storage of nutrients

Answers

Answer:

1. Ribosome–protein synthesis

Explanation:

Ribosomes are structures that are floating in cytoplasm and can be found attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. Ribosomes are also called as the protein factory of the cell because their foremost function is the protien synthesis. Proteins are required by the cell for basic cellular functions, cell division and damage repair etc.

1.ribosome why is beacuse the ribiosomes make the proteins for the cells

Why does a cell need to copy its DNA before it divides? A) so both new cell have enough DNA
B) so the sister chromatids don’t have to get separated
C) so it has a different set of instructions

Answers

Answer:

A

Explanation:

It can't be B because during mitosis, sister chromatids inevitably are separated. It can't be C because they are copied so they have the same instructions and know what to do. A is the best choice.

Answer:

the correct answer is a and the proper name for this process is called DNA replication thx so much

A single carbon atom can form a maximum of how many single covalent bonds

Answers

A single carbon atom can form a maximum of 4 single covalent bonds.

Why can the carbon atom form this ?

This is because carbon has 4 valence electrons, which are electrons that are available to form bonds with other atoms. Each single covalent bond consists of 2 valence electrons, so a single carbon atom can form a maximum of 4 single covalent bonds.

Carbon atoms can also form double and triple covalent bonds, which consist of 4 and 6 valence electrons, respectively. However, a single carbon atom can only form a maximum of 4 covalent bonds in total.

#SPJ6

I think it is carbon atom can form a maximum of 4 single covalent bonds... This is because it has 4 electrons and needs to reach a total of 8, so it can make up to 4 covalent bonds to gain the electrons it needs. I wish it help. Please comment
